Why the Cup works

Your English is already good. What's missing is training: daily practice, someone who hears your mistakes, and a reason to keep going in week six.

60-second mission

You train every day

A short voice mission lands every morning. You record it, post it, and get feedback. Fifteen minutes, done.

You train with a group

Twenty players inside the Pronunciation Code community. You hear each other improve, and you notice when someone stops showing up.

You can see your progress

A live leaderboard ranks improvement, not talent. Someone who starts nervous and works hard can win.

Stop guessing. Start training.

How the 90 days work

Same starting line for everyone: your own voice on Day 0.

0

Your starting score

You record one minute of speech. I score it from 0 to 100 on sounds, stress, rhythm, linking and clarity under pressure.

1–12

Twelve weeks of training

A 60-minute 1:1 with me every week, a daily voice mission, a weekly masterclass, and Matchday: one random question, 60 seconds, no time to prepare.

30 · 60

Checkpoints

Same task, new score. The leaderboard moves and you hear exactly how far you've come.

The Final

Final scores are revealed live. The three biggest improvements take the podium.

What my students say

Teachers, engineers, managers. People who already speak English and wanted to finally sound clear.

Before working with Sal, I had studied English for years, but I still felt insecure when speaking in meetings. What I appreciated most was the focus on clarity, not on losing my accent.
Sergio Caccavale
My problem was not grammar — it was fluency and confidence when speaking. By training sounds, rhythm, and connected speech, I stopped speaking word by word and started sounding more natural.
Francesco Catalano
Before studying with Sal, I sometimes knew the words but wasn't sure how to pronounce them correctly. His method gave me a system.
Pradeep JayatilakaEngineer and lecturer
This training changed the way I speak and also the way I teach. I feel more confident using English in class and reading words aloud.
Federica D'AngeloPrimary school teacher
What I like the most is that the approach is very practical and focused on real usage. It helped me become more confident and more natural when using English.
Simone Zappacosta

Your coach

Hi, I'm Sal.

I was born in the US and grew up in Italy, so I know both sides of the accent. I've taught English for 25 years: in classrooms, in companies, and one to one.

In my lessons I put you under a bit of pressure on purpose. No time to build the perfect sentence first, just like a real meeting. That's how clear speech becomes automatic.

My method is simple. Notice what's really happening, decode how your mouth makes it, then speak until it sticks.

Why it's worth it

Think about what unclear English already costs you. The meeting where someone else got the credit for your idea. The call you turned into an email. The promotion that went to the colleague who "communicates better".

You already did the hard part: years of grammar and vocabulary. Pronunciation is the last piece, and it's the one people actually hear. Ninety days of real training is small next to what it unlocks.

Questions

Is the workshop really free?

Yes. Come, learn something useful, and take it home. No card needed.

What level do I need?

If you can read this page comfortably, you're ready. It works best from B1 up.

Which workshop should I come to?

The first one you can make. It's the same workshop both times. Players accepted after 19 November pick their weekly 1:1 slot first, and seats are taken in order, so earlier is better.

Does "Apply now" commit me to anything?

No. It puts you on the list and gets you into the free workshop. You decide after the workshop, when you see the full application.

How are the winners chosen?

On improvement, not on who sounds best. Your Day 0 and Day 90 recordings are scored blind on the same rubric, so a nervous starter can beat a confident one.

If I join in November or December, do I wait until January?

No. Once you're accepted, you join the community straight away, meet the other players and start pre-season training. The scored race starts for everyone on 11 January, so nobody gets an unfair head start.

Is the refund real? What's the catch?

It's real, and it's written into the participant agreement you sign before Day 0. The catch is that you have to earn it. The biggest improvement gets 100% back, second place 50% and third place 25%. To qualify, you complete at least 80% of your daily missions. I'd rather put my money where your effort is.

Can I pay in instalments?

Yes. You can pay in full or in three instalments: when you enrol, on Day 30 and on Day 60. You'll see the full details in the application. If you make the podium, your refund (100%, 50% or 25%) is calculated on what you paid and sent once all three payments are complete.

Can my company pay?

Yes. You'll get a full invoice from LFC Academy LLC for your employer.

Will I lose my accent?

That's not the goal. The goal is that people understand you the first time. Your accent is part of you. Being asked to repeat yourself isn't.

Where does it happen?

Online. You'll get the link by email before the workshop.
